What Grace Life Believes About The Love Of God
The love of God is the most powerful force in existence.
Throughout the Bible and in our daily lives, God demonstrates His unconditional love for humanity through both His Word and His actions. NOTHING can separate us from God's love—not our past sins or shortcomings, and not the enemy's attempts to condemn us. God's love remains steadfast and unwavering.
This steadfast love is most clearly seen through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. Jesus willingly laid down His life to save humanity, even while we were still sinners. There is no greater act of love than giving one's life for another. By sending His Son to die for our sins, God proved beyond a doubt His all-encompassing love.
It is through comprehending the magnitude of this sacrifice that we can begin to grasp how deeply God loves each one of us. However, truly understanding the love of God requires more than just head knowledge—it demands a revelation imparted by the Holy Spirit. Only as we meditate on God's Word and gaze upon the cross can the Spirit reveal the breadth and depth of God's love for us. When this revelation comes, it empowers transformational change by strengthening our faith and reciprocating love for God. With this revelation, anxiety and depression melt away, and we are empowered to live faithfully as God intended.
The early church sought to impart this revelation of God's love. Through passionate preaching and worship, they encouraged believers to behold God's love and allow it to renew their minds and souls. Even in the face of adversity, God's love sustained them.
May their example inspire us to continually seek a fresh revelation of the love and acceptance of our heavenly Father.
